DG series boiler feed water pump plays an indispensable role in the boiler system, responsible for smoothly and efficiently transporting circulating water to the boiler and return water pipes to maintain heat exchange and energy transfer. However, there may be cases where no water is discharged after startup during use, which may cause the boiler system to malfunction and affect the production process. Therefore, the following section will explain the causes and solutions for no water discharge after startup of DG series boiler feed pumps.
1. Inspect Water Supply & Outlet Pipes
If the water supply pipe of the water pump is blocked or closed, the water pump will be unable to drain water. On the one hand, if the valve in the pipe is not open or there is debris blocking the pipe, the water pump will be unable to draw water. On the other hand, if there is a problem with the outlet pipe, water will not be able to flow into the boiler. Therefore, it is necessary to open the valve and remove debris in a timely manner to ensure that the water supply and outlet pipes are unobstructed.
2. Check Impeller & Bearing
Damage to the impeller and bearings is also a key reason why DG series boiler feed water pumps cannot deliver water. When the impeller or bearings are damaged, it will cause the pump to malfunction and be unable to generate sufficient suction. In this case, it is necessary to replace the impeller and bearings of the pump or repair them to ensure the normal operation of the pump.
3. Inspect Seals
When the seals of this pump leak, it can cause a significant drop in suction capacity. Therefore, regularly checking and replacing damaged seals can ensure good sealing performance and maintain normal water discharge.
4. Verify Installation Head & Suction Head
Test the actual outlet pressure of the pump with a pressure gauge. If the rated value is reached but no water is discharged, it may be that the actual head exceeds the rated head. In this case, lower the installation height of the pump or replace it with a high-head pump to ensure normal water discharge
5. Examine Inlet Water Level
When the DG series hot water centrifugal pump is in a vertical suction state, it is necessary to ensure that the inlet water level is high enough. If the water level is too low, the pump will not be able to discharge water normally. Therefore, the water level can be raised by increasing the height of the inlet pipe or other measures.
In summary, there are many reasons why DG series hot water pumps fail to deliver water, including factors such as piping, impellers, bearings, head, and seals. It is necessary to identify and resolve the causes of the problem in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the pump, which is also an important guarantee for the efficient heating of the boiler system and the smooth progress of industrial production.
